Wedding bits and final touches.
There are lots of moving parts when it comes to weddings and wedding planning.
Bridesmaid and bridesman proposals are becoming increasingly popular, as are small gifts for the glam squad. Let’s be totally transparent here, these are a ‘nice to have’ element as opposed to a wedding ‘need to have’. It’s important to draw a line, especially when the wedding spend becomes never ending…
But, you might also be on the hunt for some unique and handmade pieces to complete your wedding look – and with these options you’d also be supporting local businesswomen.
This time of year, we think its particularly important to support local talent and businesses.
So, today we’re scoping out a few gorgeous pop up stores (and one permanent!) that are open or opening soon and are perfect for gifting or self-gifting during wedding season.
Location: Dundrum Town Centre
Open from November 14 – December 24
Aoife Mullane is the incredible textile designer behind some of the most beautiful hand made bags, clutch bags, bows and luxury silk head bands. Made with luxury materials and stunning prints, these pieces make for stunning bridesmaids bits, mother-of-the-bride or mother-of-the-groom gifts.
For gifts, we really love the bubble ‘cloud’ bags and the over-sized bows. You can even get them embroidered with initials, or your soon-to-be initials, or even your wedding date. A very cute idea for bridal party proposals. PS. When it comes to Aoife Mullane Designs, we’re very supportive of self-gifting!
Locations: Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin and Mahon Point Shopping Centre, Cork
Dundrum open from November 12 – January. Mahon Point TBC.
The Head Plan manifestation and head space journals are tools that can help you on your wedding planning journey, any other overwhelmed heads out there? These journals would also make for a gorgeous gift for your wedding party and for bridesmaid proposals. Customisation and embossed initialling will be available in both the pop ups, making these gifts a little extra special.
The Head Plan team have also created a finance journal which could be a good place to start when you’re planning and budgeting for the big day.
Sculpted by Aimee Connolly
Location: 50-51 Grafton Street
Okay, okay technically not a pop up store and more an incredible flagship store, either way the bright pink Sculpted store on Grafton Street is a very worthy mention. The perfect one-stop-shop for your must-have make up bits as well as small gifts for your bridal party.
Not only can you pick up your favourite make up bits for your wedding, you’ll also be able to pick up gifting bundles or sheet masks and brushes for a proposal box. If you’re planning a hen party or maybe even hoping to do your own make up for your wedding day, you can also book in for a make up lesson or get your make up done by an expert.
