Hailey Bieber

Designer: Virgil Abloh for Off-White
Wedding year: 2019
Most memorable element: Hailey’s veil was stitched with the word’s ‘Till Death Do Us Part
C’mon, you knew that this one just had to be on the list. Would the list even be complete without mentioning Hailey Bieber nee-Baldwin’s incredible dress? The answer is simply, no. Giving us an off-the-shoulder, all over lace and form-fitting moment, this is most definitely a dress that made us go ‘wow’. With slight paneling details and scalloped edges on the sleeves and neckline, this dress brought all over lace into the new millennium. Granted she is modelesque, the simplicity of the neat, pulled back chignon and the lace-trimmed cathedral length veil, it is undeniable that Hailey’s wedding dress will go down in celebrity wedding dress history.

Olivia Palermo

Designer: Carolina Herrera
Wedding year: 2014
Most memorable element: Without question – All. Of. It.
Okay, okay so not a wedding dress, but this one had to be included. Although we (fans of The City) expected her to go big, this style maven kept things surprisingly simple for her wedding day. Olivia’s wedding dress was less a dress and more a three-piece ensemble, consisting of a luxe cashmere jumper paired with city shorts and a tulle overskirt. Hand laid embroidery details spilled from the thigh-high centre split opening of the layered tulle skirt. Classy, simple, chic – this style has been replicated numerous times, and it will forever be a classic and beautiful outfit.

Nicole Peltz-Beckham

Designer: Valentino Haute Couture
Wedding year: 2022
Most memorable element: Nicole’s full length lace gloves started a trend that isn’t set to end just yet, and those platform wedding shoes
Nicole is part of that exclusive ‘new celebrity’ era. If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably remember her husband Brooklyn Beckham being born in 1999… Which makes us feel downright old. But hey, the girl’s got style. Designed by Valentino’s creative director no less, this relatively plain square-neck, semi-structured satin taffeta dress was pretty gorgeous. Paired with a bustled cathedral length train and a lace-trimmed veil, and full-length French lace gloves, this dress and its accessories could be thought of as an ode to the 90s.

Arianna Grande

Designer: Vera Wang
Wedding year: 2021
Most memorable element: The draped low back and that bubble veil with a bow hairband
Ariana Grande’s wedding to Dalton Gomez was a low-key celebration, but when we saw that dress on Instagram – holy smokes. Designed by the mother of bridal, Vera Wang, this dress was stunning; a structured sweet heart neckline sank into a straight column skirt, but it was the back that really brought the drama. An exposed ‘bra strap’ like closure draped into a delicate low-back cowl. And Ariana topped this look with a short, bouffant bubble veil that stemmed from a structured yet delicate satin bow head band. A retro nod to balance the modern bridal shape. Perfection.

Danielle Brooks

Designer: Bespoke Alonuko
Wedding year: 2022
Most memorable element: The nude sheer top with lace overlay
Best known for her role as Taystee on the Netflix series Orange is the New Black, Danielle Brooks’ wedding look is truly immaculate. Reminiscent of Halle Berry’s 2002 Oscar’s sheer Elie Saab dress, but making it bridal, British bridal house Alonuko nails the chic and beautiful transparency of this dress. The second skin-like style of the top is juxtapositioned perfectly against the full ball gown style of the skirt. Making lace, embroidery and beaded modern, Danielle Brooks really stopped us in our tracks.

Kim Kardashian

Designer: Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy
Wedding year: 2014
Most memorable element: The ethereal full cathedral-length veil coupled with the sleek behind the ear hair-style that is still in fashion today
C’mon, you knew Kimmy was bound to appear at some stage. Custom-designed by Riccardo Tisci (formally of Givenchy, now of Burberry), the long-sleeved, form-fitting lace mermaid style wedding dress was nothing short of pure elegance. With sheer paneling on the back and on the smallest part of the waist, this wedding dress has to be Kim’s best. Kim’s sleek, behind-the-ears and down hair-style is still popular today. The entire look was brought together by a simplistic yet chic full length veil.

Designer: Custom John Galliano for Maison Margiela
Wedding year: 2021
Most memorable element: The use of mirrors to create a dress
Love it or hate it, this dress is undeniably show stopping. Less celebrity and more billionaire heiress and great-grandaughter of an oil tycoon, Ivy Getty caught our attention out of pretty much no where with this one. A fleshtoned corset and slip skirt was covered in artistic floral pattern made of strategically placed mirrored shards created the dress, whilst this was matched with a more traditional full-length cathedral tulle veil. The embroidered and crystal dotted ivory veil was held in place by a crown of opaque crystals.
